About GitHub

Edgemetry is a lightweight, privacy-first web analytics tool you host yourself on your own domain, running entirely on Cloudflare's free tier — one Worker and one D1 database, deployed with a single click and no API token to paste. It's built for the gap where Google Analytics is overkill, Plausible Cloud is a recurring bill, and a Docker VPS is more than a personal site needs.

The dashboard covers five core metrics (visitors, pageviews, views per visit, bounce rate, average time) with sparklines and previous-period comparisons, plus breakdowns by page, referrer, country, browser, OS, device, screen size and UTM tags. Stackable filters let every panel narrow at once, and there's a real choropleth map, a realtime view, custom events via a one-line call, and a ⌘K command palette. It uses no cookies, no fingerprinting and stores no personal data — visitors are counted via a daily-rotating salted hash, raw IPs are never stored, and raw events are dropped within 24–48 hours, so it needs no consent banner under GDPR.

One deployment serves unlimited sites with per-site access roles (owner/viewer), so you can hand a client read-only access to just their dashboard. The free tier comfortably covers ~20,000 visits/day; beyond that, Cloudflare's $5/mo Workers Paid plan raises the limits. Open source under the MIT license.
