Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how StackLedge ("we", "us", "our"), available at https://www.stackledge.com, collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Site.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Account data: name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash) when you register, or your name, email and Google account ID if you sign in with Google.
• Submission data: details you provide about a tool, workflow, or community node you submit for listing.
• Contact form data: name, email, and message when you contact us.
• Payment data: if you purchase a paid feature, our payment provider Paddle collects your billing details (see Section 4). We do not receive or store your card number.
• Usage data: pages visited, referring pages, and general analytics collected automatically through Google Analytics.
• Local preferences: your theme choice (light/dark) is stored in your browser's local storage, not on our servers.

2. How we use information

• To operate your account, review and publish submissions, and send transactional emails (verification, password reset, submission status).
• To respond to contact form inquiries.
• To process payments for paid features and send order confirmations.
• To understand aggregate traffic and improve the Site.
• To prevent abuse, spam, and fraudulent submissions (for example, rate-limiting and CAPTCHA checks).

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and Google Analytics cookies to measure Site usage. Your theme preference is stored using browser local storage. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking them may affect sign-in and some site features.

4. Third parties we share data with

• Paddle.com Market Ltd: processes payments for paid listing features as our Merchant of Record. Paddle receives your billing information directly and processes it under its own Privacy Policy.
• Google: provides optional sign-in (Google OAuth) and Google Analytics for traffic measurement, under Google's own Privacy Policy.
• Our email provider: used to deliver transactional emails (account verification, password resets, submission notices, contact form replies).

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with the providers above as needed to operate the Site, or if required by law.

5. Data retention

We keep account and submission data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Site. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see Section 7). Payment records are retained by Paddle in line with their own legal and accounting obligations.

6. International transfers

Information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including by the service providers listed in Section 4. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is handled securely wherever it is processed.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 9 and we will respond within a reasonable time.

8. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
